  In Cleveland I knew the Zaremba family they are Jehovahs witnesses they build shopping centers

  and houses. I dont know but assume they are millionares.

  My presiding overseer owned a Buick dealership. I dont know if he was a millionare or not.

  Probably not, probably had a million dollars worth of debt.

  The witnesse I grew up with in Cleveland many of them did very well financially.

  I have to describe most witnesses I knew as very materialistic, money hungry.

  I agree Christians and thinking people should not be involved with the military.

  If there is no God and no after life the military is a good way to make this life a short one, or a screwed up one.

  If there is a God its probably kind of hard to justify killing your neighbor in Vietnam or Iraq in light of Jesus words to

  "love your neighbor as yourself.

  Wars are fought to make the rich richer. People are riled up to fight wars by all kinds of means, nationalism, religion,

  hate.

  Those who serve in the military in the US and dont get screwed up get some nice rewards.

  Jobs with the post office, fire department and all kinds of Federal jobs with great benefits and retirements.

  US vets get lifetime medical coverage thru the VA.

  Thats why there are so many homeless vets. They are well taken care of.

  Not everyone in a country can think like us and be paccifist or the country would get run over.

  I guess its a personal and spiritual belief.

  i collect pretty much any figure in the 3.75 scale.

  my favorites are marvel universe, star wars, indiana jones, and gi joe.

  dc is also coming out with an incredible line pretty soon.

  I started collecting guitars. I have 40 of them. Now I dont have any more room. I have 6 amplifiers.

  I also have a wall of books, Crisis of conscience, in search of Christian Freedom.

  I also have a lot of American baseball cards.

  I used to collect record albums, then CD's now I can get the music for free on the net.

  So I still collect music, but its getting harder and harder to find anything worth collecting musically.

  The time is coming to start unloading some of my collection.

  for the first time in ages though, i actually re-evaluated my position on god/wt.. i had attended a few funerals in the spring and had also reignited some friendships with people from the hall.

  but actually, i just keep going round in circles in my mind.

  i cannot back an organisation with such a flawed past and one that endorses such policies as shunning & blood.

  On the issue of suffering and evil, evil comes from God. It says it right there in Isaiah 45:7 (there are theological 'explanations' for this verse, but I find them reaching). Also, read Job.

  If God is the 'ground of being' in which everything we experience comes from, then evil resides there also. Good also comes from God. Both Satan and Jesus eminate from God. You can't have good without evil, no matter how hard you try.

  Cofty in my opinion God made the believer and you, the unbeliever.

  God wrote a book and we are acting it out.

  We are all parts of God and someday we will find our way back home.

  The hell that people experience is their seperation from God and being lost not finding their way home.

  Cofty there is nothing I can say to make you believe, that is between you and God or you and nothing, or you and

  your understanding of your world.

  After having just discussed the Holocaust, this is a terrific understatement don't you think? When it goes down, it goes way, way down.

  You can believe in some kind of misanthropic God I suppose; caring neither way, helping or hindering people on a whim for no motives other than his own amusement. If this is the God you promote, reading the Bible for validation might make sense.

  Of course we could just play pretend for the rest of our lives and dream about the wonders that await us on the other side of the fence.

  I know I'm going to die, I know everyone dies, bad things happen.

  I dont spend my time dreaming about the other side of the fence.

  I spend my time living my life, doing things. I've lived 60 years and I have observed everyone dies.

  My guess is I spend far less time thinking about what happens after I die than the atheist do.

  I spend far less time trying to justify my beliefs than the atheist do.

  This will be provocative. I know God or life has allowed many terrible attrocious things to happen to untold

  numbers of humans and animals.

  But my research about the hollicaust is the hollicaust is not what you are lead to believe.

  History is written by the victors.

  The Jews aka the USA/England won world war 2, their plan all along was to reestablish Israel, which did not exist before

  world war 2. I think they embellished the attrocities of war to win sympathy from the world to reestablish Israel, to steal the

  land from the palastinians.

  I dont know if that is a good thing or a bad thing, My God allowed it. It seems to be the plan in his book,

  the bible, the reestablishment of Israel and the world being ruled from Israel.

  God is no respector of persons, we all die, some more terrifyingly than others.

  I have no problem with anyone being an athiest and having a differnt world view than mine.

  I guess we will all find out whats going on after our last act.
